At Nightingale School, we are committed to supporting learning both in school and at home. Our remote learning provision is delivered through Microsoft Teams, which serves as our Virtual Learning Environment (VLE).
All students can access Teams using their individual school login credentials. Through the platform, learners can access their year group class teams and subject-specific folders. These folders contain work from subjects such as ICT and other curriculum areas, allowing students to revisit lessons, access learning materials, and build on their knowledge over time.
Students can also share their work with parents/carers, giving families insight into their learning.
For safeguarding reasons, Teams is not used as a communication tool between students and teachers. Staff use the platform solely to publish learning tasks, curriculum resources, and revision materials to support pupils’ progress and reinforce learning.
Where appropriate, students may be asked to complete assigned work using the materials provided. By keeping resources clearly organised and consistently available, Teams ensures that students can continue their learning effectively both in school and at home when remote learning is needed.
