Nightingale Community Academy is part of Orchard Hill College and Academy Trust (OHC&AT), a family of specialist education providers for pupils and students from nursery to further education across London, Berkshire, Surrey and Sussex.
Pupils and students within the OHC&AT family have a wide range of learning abilities and additional needs including complex autism; speech, language and communication difficulties; social, emotional and mental health difficulties; and physical disabilities including multi-sensory impairment and complex health needs.
We have a range of experts and practitioners across our organisation who advocate for children and young people with special educational needs, to ensure they receive the best possible opportunities; are empowered to achieve their aspirations and goals; and develop skills to help them become more independent members of their communities.
Orchard Hill College is a registered charity (number: 1144922) and our schools form the Trust, which is an exempt charity.
As an education provider, we receive the majority of our funds from central government. However, we actively fundraise for projects that are not covered by statutory funding but will deliver very clear benefits to our students and improve their experience and life outcomes. We actively approach charitable trusts and foundations to support these additional projects, and welcome support from families, staff, key partners and local businesses.
We are a member of the Fundraising Regulator and follow the code of fundraising practice https://www.fundraisingregulator.org
