Pupil Voice

At the Nightingale Community Academy we have a School Council that regularly meets to discuss issues and important topics at the school. Each year there are a number of students who are nominated to represent the school and input into the meetings and their agendas. Staff will listen to the students’ views and take note of their recommendations to help improve the school.

The principal and leadership team, well supported by the Orchard Hill College and Academy Trust, have provided strong leadership, which has had a positive impact on the school’s effectiveness. As a result, there have been improvements in all areas, most noticeably in pupils’ behaviour and attitudes, the curriculum and in the wider opportunities for pupils.
