RugbyWorks

Since September KS4 learners at Nightingale Community Academy have been working with Dallaglio RugbyWorks, a charity that uses rugby to encourage young people outside the mainstream into sustained education, employment or training. Last Wednesday Mr Pemberton met with the RugbyWorks team at the Palace of Westminster for the launch of their impact report. You can read all about it here: http://www.dallagliofoundation.com/438-house-of-commons-reception

We hope to identify a range of apprenticeship opportunities for learners at NCA in the coming months so look out for further information.

The principal and leadership team, well supported by the Orchard Hill College and Academy Trust, have provided strong leadership, which has had a positive impact on the school’s effectiveness. As a result, there have been improvements in all areas, most noticeably in pupils’ behaviour and attitudes, the curriculum and in the wider opportunities for pupils.
