About Us

Nightingale Community Academy is a special school in Wandsworth for 166 boys aged 5 to 19 with social, emotional and mental health needs. All pupils have an Educational Health Care Plan.

Key Information

This section provides key information including how the school spends the funding it receives, its policies and procedures, how students perform in exams and assessment, inspection information and the schools self-evaluation

Our curriculum has been designed to ensure every learner, from primary through to sixth form, is provided with a clear and purposeful pathway to success.

Secondary

Secondary students are offered a broad curriculum including vocational courses. They have access to a comprehensive therapy service including regular access to Tom's Farm.

Sixth Form

Sixth Form students can access vocational courses on site and are supported to attend external provisions as appropriate.

Vocational Centre

Our vocational courses include barbering, construction, horticulture, hospitality and motor vehicle studies.

Therapy

The Nightingale Community Academy (NCA) Therapeutic Service aims to provide a supportive environment and a comprehensive range of therapies to all pupils and students on site.

Parents

At Nightingale Community Academy we believe that a close working relationship with parents and carers is one of the keys to making progress.

Primary pupils take part in NBA basketball coaching session

Students from Years 4, 5 and 6 recently took part in an exciting 45-minute basketball coaching clinic at City Sport, led by NBA coaches.

Pupils rotated through a range of skill-based drills, developing their passing, shooting and teamwork. To finish the session, learners competed in a mini game against other groups to see who could score the most baskets.

We are proud to share that Nightingale scored the highest overall, making it a fantastic and memorable experience for everyone involved.
