A win for NCA at the London Youth Games!

A number of boys from years 8 and 9 recently went to Hackney Marsh to take part in the London Paragames – 7-a-side football tournament with the London Youth Games.

To progress to this competition the boys were undefeated in the previous round – not conceding a goal In this competition. The boys played extremely well throughout the tournament and the school were thrilled to have been the first Wandsworth based team to have won this competition.

Freddie, the team goalkeeper had an excellent run of games, only conceding one goal, which was a penalty! He said “the team played well together and winning felt really good!”

The principal and leadership team, well supported by the Orchard Hill College and Academy Trust, have provided strong leadership, which has had a positive impact on the school’s effectiveness. As a result, there have been improvements in all areas, most noticeably in pupils’ behaviour and attitudes, the curriculum and in the wider opportunities for pupils.
