A festive feast for Christmas lunch
Chef Sherri and her team excelled themselves this year by serving up a veritable Christmas feast to pupils and staff on Wednesday 18th December. Plates were piled high and everyone entered the Christmas spirit by pulling crackers, sharing jokes and wearing paper hats.
On the menu was a starter of smoked mackerel pate and toast points for our adventurous eaters. Then on to turkey that was brined with oranges and spices to make sure it was extra succulent. There was also roast pork loin from our farm, stuffed onion squash for the vegetarians, sage and onion stuffing, roasted potatoes and a mixture of colourful vegetables all served up with lashings of gravy and winter spiced cranberry sauce.
Thanks to the chefs for a delicious feast not just at Christmas but every day!
