6th Form & College Open Events
Update to the bulletin sent out late last month. Mostly new FE College dates and a few more sixth form events.
A few of points to highlight:– Employer Skills Survey 2022, found fewer employers providing training and skill shortage vacancies growing.– 25 Years of University Access, confirms persistent access gaps for disadvantaged students.– Unit for Future Skills, DfE has spent £2.5 million on the unit delivering careers pathways and skills demand dashboards.In the Apprenticeships section vacancies in Central London show a decline from the post lockdown figure of 1,002 in September 2022, to 731 on 15 October 2023, below the pre-COVID 19 figure of 1,365 in March 2020.
