A trip to Jamie’s Farm

NCA-Jamies-Farm

Students from Nightingale Community Academy have spent the last few nights over at Jamie’s Farm, a provider who offer ‘farming, family and therapy’ through a short residential stay and follow up programme. Their aim is to re-engage children with educational life, and enable them to fulfil their potential both in school and the wider social setting.

The students really enjoyed the trip, the facilities were amazing, the staff warm and friendly and excitement was constant for students with what they would be getting up to next!

On student said “This was such a fun trip, I hope we get to go back again!”

The principal and leadership team, well supported by the Orchard Hill College and Academy Trust, have provided strong leadership, which has had a positive impact on the school’s effectiveness. As a result, there have been improvements in all areas, most noticeably in pupils’ behaviour and attitudes, the curriculum and in the wider opportunities for pupils.
